Heishui in English simply means Black Water. Located in the center of Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture in southwestern Sichuan Province, Heishui County covers 4,356 square kilometers with an altitude of 3,544 meters. There are 58,000 residents, of which 92 per cent are Tibetans.
