The small size of this shrine belies its importance, as this is one of the four most important Ganesh shrines in the Kathmandu valley. Ganesh is a much-loved god and there is constant stream of visitors. A visit to this shrine is thought to ensure safety on the forthcoming journey. Devotees can offer incense, butter lamp, placing flowers on the shrew's head, and then ring the bell.
